Milwaukee for me. As I replace older tools it nice having them all use same battery platform.

I went with Dewalt. My brother who has a truck and trailer shop uses Milwaukee. I’ve used both when we put my lift on my JTR on his lift at his shop. Dewalt is ok for my use but his Milwaukee stuff is tougher, batteries seem to last longer and generally more expensive too, even with his discount. If I was to start over, I’d go Milwaukee but that ship has sailed.

Milwaukee fan here. I have 5 of their M18 tools. All work flawlessly. The one thing that sealed the deal for me was when the company owned impact gun took a dump. I sent it in expect to pay the diagnostic fee. It was returned a week later fixed at no charge. I've not needed anything else serviced but the piece of mind knowing can get it serviced rather than just replacing it is worth something to me.

My 3/8 impact is my second favorite tool of all time. My 2 post lift is #1. I recently bought the M18 compressor so I could air down off road. It has exceeded my expectations and now replaces the compressor in my garage for any tire inflation duty.

Dewalt. I used their drills all day, everyday at work when I installed boat covers and bimini tops for Lowe Boats back in 2006. Lots and lots of snaps screwed into the aluminum daily. Went out and bought one for myself, still have it and still works. I have since expanded my tool collection to saws, air compressors, vacuums, electric ratchets, leaf blowers, etc. Love their impacts, have yet to find a bolt that I can't loosen. I buy the cheap 9.0 ah batteries on Amazon and they will run whatever I need all day. I'm sure Milwaukee is just fine but at this point I am committed and happy with my decision.
