Driveshaft Carrier Bearing WTH?

Hi, New to the forums, Got my Gobi Overland about 6 weeks ago, and its my first Jeep since a YJ back in 1989. SO far, I love it. I was poking around the underside last weekend and notice the driveshaft carrier bearing was flaking off a coating and thought, "What the hell?" Only 3500 miles on it, and I don't have experience working on my vehicle (yet). Couldn't locate a similar post so I thought I'd ask what do y'alll make of this?

Appears to just be paint flaking off. Was it flexible (rubbery) or stiff?

Just paint over rubber. Not meant to be a lasting protective coating once in service.

Well I appreciate it fellas. The recall (for which I am not under) had me spooked that the bearing was starting to burn up the race protection. Hadn't dawned on me that it was overspray or what have you from the undercoating. At least my mind is at ease, lol.
