About 15000 miles and it sounds like a remote control airplane flying under my Jeep. Just wondering if anyone else has had failure with them?

I’m getting a similar sound but I have 600 miles on the truck and just regeared to 5.13.

Did yours just start or was it progressive over time?

The rear pinion bearing is is not your normal cone shaped roller bearing. It's more of a ball in a groove bearing. Others have had trouble, generally after re-gearing.

My Glad has had a driveline vibe @ 60-70 ever since I bought it. I wonder if that's what my problem is? ?

Either way, I'll be watching this thread.

My mechanic did mention that about the JL/JT bearings. So due to the design, will they be noisier or would it still lend itself to them being done improperly in some way?

I was an excellent telephone repairman. With that in mind, it is my opinion that the ball bearings in a Grove have less tolerance to poor setup. My experience (with similar design wheel bearings) is they get noisy when we worn more so than opposing cone shaped roller bearings.
