I have an AEV 2" spacer lift on my 21 JTRD. As a pavement pounder princess Jeep, it's really all I need, but the soft Rubicon shocks leave a lot to be desired on the crappy roads we have here in Atlantic Canada. Looking for opinions on what shock to buy. Budget being what it is, I'm honestly learning towards just a good quality monotube (Bilstein, Fox, Falcon). Any opinion on which to buy?? What about a set of Mojave takeoffs, will they work well or is the added weight of the diesel touch for them?

I have run the Falcon SP2 2.1 monotube shocks on both my Rubicons and they are night and day difference than the stock Fox labeled shocks that come OEM. Firms up the ride considerable but still give decent on road manners.

Probably a bit on the pricey side since you mention cost but I think this is a one and done thing.

I would also recommend getting the Falcon Nexus EF 2.1 steering stabilizer to round it out.
