Hey guys I’m looking into maybe upgrading my shocks my current setup is a 2.5“ Rubicon express lift with fox 2.0 shocks and its on a 2020 rubicon. The current setup isn’t bad but I’ve recently added a GFC and will be adding more weight so I’m wanting something adjustable manly for the rear. So I’ve been looking at the Falcon adjustables and Fox 2.5 DSC. I like the plush feeling that fox gives you with it being progressively valved. My main question is how do the Falcons ride? Are they harsh over like pot holes and stuff. I believe they are a digressive shock even on its softest setting will it ride plush? The main reason I’m looking between the two is price the Falcon‘s come out to be about $2k and the fox’s would be about $2700. Thanks for any info

It depends how you drive. The Fox 2.5's are a bigger shock so they have more dampening and will stay cooler. If you spend a lot of time off-road and like going fast then the Fox is much better. If you only use your rig to overland and get to campsites, the Falcons will work just fine.
Whichever one you decide to get, I'd consider going to a reputable shock tuner. Off the shelf shocks are not specific to the weight of any vehicle. Especially adding a GFC and other gear.

I put the Falcon SP2 2.1 set on mine and am very happy with them . Better ride than Fox and didn't break the bank Good luck with your decision.

You may want to look at springs at the same time to get a well balanced rear suspension. I can't suggest what springs but somebody here can make some suggestions to look into

I have the same truck as you and have an Alu-cab canopy that is on all the time then I have a RTT plus a drawer set, fridge etc when I go camping.

I’m not sure that it’s the shocks alone but also the very soft springs. I am seriously considering the AEV set up that allows you to get an upgraded spring set. They use revolved Bilstein shocks and I’m a big fan of them.

I am a huge fan of the AEV kit. I installed it on my max tow because its the only lift that keeps the suspension rake and full tow capability of the max tow option. Ride is amazing on road and very capable offload.
