Driving home on the highway after off-roading and my ESC (light would flash) started to kick in when making right turns (could feel it auto braking) while either following the curve of the highway or when exiting. The steering wheel was a little out of whack so I adjusted it back to center but the ESC would still kick in. Turning to the wheel to the right, it feels less responsive than the left.

I tried disconnecting and re connecting the sway bar thinking that it didn't fully re engage, that did nothing. Same symptoms

Description of my Gladiator's suspension
Mopar lift
Daystar 3/4 inch spacers
Synergy brace
Fox steering stabilizer
Rubicon express adjustable track bar
35 Toyo open country MT tires
6000 miles

Of course things were fine prior to off roading. Any ideas on would could be causing the ESC to kick in? Should I just run it in to the dealer?

Steering wheel is not centered. At least that's the most common cause of ESC kicking on.

Thank you for the response. I recentered the wheel and still experience the same symptom. Wondering if may have damaged something :(

I don't know how sensitive the JT's are, but my JKR is really sensitive when it comes to the steering wheel being centered. I use an AEV ProCal to center the wheel. And even when it is reading center, it can still be off just a tad and cause ESC to kick in. Takes me a few tries to get it right.

Might be worth having a dealer center it.

This is my first Jeep, is it normal to have to recenter following an off roading session? Not my first time taking it off road but, the first time I've had the ESC kick in afterward.

Yeah, it's normal. Things can get shifted around while wheeling.

UPDATE: Dealer says the pitman arm is loose. Because I have the Synergy bracket on, they are charging me $210, can't cover under warranty because of the aftermarket modification. Need to remove the bracket in order to properly torque it.

They have to drop the bottom part of the bracket.. Its 2 smallish screws.
