Well, since I have the basic screen I only have two selectable views. It's not enough for me. Hooking up the trailer by myself is a pita, especially when you're checking out and someone else is eager to move to your camping spot! You know- reverse, look at the screen, looks good...get out of the truck to put the trailer tongue down.. nah...not quite. Do it again, and again. Hehehe.
Since I have my old aftermarket rear view mirror dash cam, I decided to install an extra camera that came with it. It was an easy install, positioned the camera underneath the tow hook. The planning was the longest part. Any way, I am happy with the end results. I can now have an additional view (side view)to see exactly where the ball position is under the tongue. No more guessing!
I want to buy an addl camera to install it in the front to assist me in parallel parking. I'll use same plug connection when I'm not towing. Some spots by the beach and LA areas are tight. Besides I'm not really good at parallel parking. Lol.
