Factory aux switches with aftermarket head unit?

Hi all, I'm looking into replacing my 5" Uconnect head unit with an aftermarket that supports Android auto. However, I have the factory aux switches and noticed that the option to switch them between momentary and constant is done via the factory head unit. What functionality will the switches have if I swap head units? It's there a workaround to maintain full functionality?

The insane Audio unit(Wich is what I have) has the aux switch set up function.
As does the Stinger unit.

I'm not sure on the crazy expensive alpine system.

To the best of my knowledge those are the only choices. You won't get it from the run of the mill touch screen units using adapters like the maestro or similar.(unless the tech has drastically upgraded in the last year)

So if I don't have support for the switches via the head unit, do they default to something, or do they become entirely useless?

They SHOULD stay where they are set, you just won't be able to change them around with out plugging in the factory unit.

Same goes for the auto heated seat and wheel(if equipped)
