I replaced the OEM rubber lines with stainless and EBC pads. I had replaced the brake fluid before which did improve things but you could feel the fade on hard rides.
Stainless and pads definitely better.
OK - I saw the word "line" and figured - huh? Replace the line?
In automotive I'm used to using the word 'line' for the steel line and hose for the hoses (rubber or otherwise) At least where I've worked and hung out, whatever that's worth.
That's why I asked.

So stainless braided hoses instead of the plain rubber that can age and actually expand a bit. On a motorcycle with the small hydraulic system, anything that expands is a bigger problem than on a car or truck.

Anyway, gotcha!

Glad they worked out for you and you're happy with them. I just can't bring myself to buy Chinese made products.
It really bugs me to see people in the classic car areas brag about 5K to do an engine rebuild and then freak out if a brake part costs $100 bucks. You want 500 HP and will pull out all stops to make it go but won't spend money to make it stop in a fraction of that time?

To answer your original question, YES, spending $3K on a Powerbrake X-Line Big Brake kit is 100% worth the entry fee. I did a full write-up below and there are other Powerbrake threads too.

I'm not advocating against EBC or Power Stop or Brand X aftermarket size pad/rotors but taking the plunge into an actual big brake kit from Powerbrake is worth it if you are carrying some weight.
