Looks like there was plenty of room to run one side or the other on higher drier. Part of wheeling is wheeling sense.
If there's room, and the depth is unknown stay as close to one edge as possible.
If you see fish breaking and swirling, maybe reconsider.

I didnt see fish jumping. But it was deeper than 2 days prior. Completely on me for assuming the depth was the same as a couple days prior.

I ran my 86 Ford Ranger turbo diesel in a hole once and a wave came over the hood and washed up on the windshield. Funny thing about turbos, they'll pump water just the same as air.
On the upside, I learned how to rebuild a diesel engine.

I don't like to drive on something I can't see unless I can tell that it's safe to splash through.
Even more so on 2 wheels.
The water crossings closest to my house can hold any kind of wheel cutting junk without being able to see it.

Ok. With my 2020, it's easy to do in the garage. One drain plug and one fuel plug on each axle.
