I have a 2020 Mojave and I did some modifications. Is lifted 6" on 42" tires. Everything was fine for more than a year. Last week I replaced the steering wheel (just the frame) and for that I had to disconnect the battery for safety (airbag). I use the same airbag that I had on the original wheel with the same controllers. Like I said I just change the steering wheel frame.... bottom line .... When I plugged the battery back, the ""FOWARD COLLISION MALFUNCTION" came ON "permanently". I took it to the dealer, and they try to recalibrate, but it didn't work because of the "high" of the jeep. Then why it never happens before, and the jeep was lifted already for more than a year??

My question here guys is...................................... is there a way to BYPASS that or fix it??.... I hate seeing those lights on, on my dash!! ..... there's a pic of my issue at the bottom ⬇⬇⬇

Because you're soooo high up......... I'm guessing your camera was looking at nothing (the SKY). So, there's nothing for it to SEE to give you any warnings. If you would've had an emergency situation, your brakes would've never been engaged because the camera couldn't see it coming.
To you....you think eveything is working properly.

So, now that you've disconnected the battery...... The Camera probably goes thru an initial 'check' and/or Reboot of sorts and something didn't pass the test. Hence, why it needs recalibrated.

Do you have a 'button' on the dash to turn it off? Or have you checked in your settings?

Thanks, Janster. There's no button on the dash specifically for that. I have access through the settings on the screen, but it won't let you change anything. At the dealer they try "everything" they could (apparently) and they told me because the jeep is not "stock", the comp and sofware they use is OEM. So, it won't let them configure it. The guy at the dealer told to try to get a programmer to bypass the issue and that should do it..... I dont know what to do.

By the way. The jeep was already high (a year ago) before the steering wheel was removed.

Just throwing stuff out there. Could a windshield installer recalibrate/adjust the camera? Seems like the cameras should have the ability for adjustments.

The sensor at the windshield, is calibrated at power up from what I have read. First, the unit is physically leveled. There is an adjustment screw on the unit for leveling. The windshield shop should be able to do this. How did it get screwed up? My guess is that it was happy until the battery was disconnected and it re calibrated. You will need the tool the mounts on the sensor. If your truck was not level when the battery was reconnected, try leveling the truck and reconnect the batteries again. I wish I could look it up for you but I'm away from the computer for a while.

Why did you replace the steering wheel frame?

Have you taken it apart and checked all the wiring and connections?

Has the truck ever fully lost power since the lift was installed?

Is it being covered under warranty?

Have they tried replacing any of the FCW components?

I've always wondered how the hell such a system is supposed to work on an off road vehicle anyway. Is there a shut off? I'm always pointed at something when off-road. Do trees, rocks, thick/tall grass set it off?

Could it be that the steering wheel sensor needs to be calibrated? On other vehicles, it works in conjuction with an accelerometer. If the steering wheel is not straight when rebooted it will recalibrate incorrectly and give you errors. If that is the case, you could park the Jeep level with the wheel centered, disconnect the batteries for a while and then reconnect. I think you can see accelerometer and steering wheel values with Alpha OBD. Maybe someone else can confirm. I just had this happen on another vehicle. All was good after leveling with the exception of the steering wheel being off center. I had it aligned and my next restart flagged steering sensor and forward crash sensor malfunction. I calibrated the accelerometers but I could not get into the steering angle sensor. I read it will self calibrate on initial power up. In my case, I had the wheel centered and unplugged the sensor. After plugging it in, my scan tool showed an auto cal. message. The fault has not returned. The collision sensor is tied in with the steering angle senor and ABS. I think the BCM was the module I was in.
