Good day fellow Gladiators!
As most we‘ve been on a journey learning and modifying on the go since we got our JT in 2021.
It’s a Overland 3.0 EcoDiesel (only one we can really get in Switzerland).
At first we started with a 2“ AEV Spacer Lift which we quickly realized was the wrong way to go. Main Issue was that the stock (especially) front springs with the 3.0 Diesel are way too soft and we used to quickly bottom out when offroading.
Since back in 2022 in Switzerland there were almost no JT specific springs available we got the following from our Garage:
3.5“ OME JL Springs 3135 (intended for a Petrol JLU with winch and bumper) in the front
3.5“ Rancho Heavy Duty rear progressive JT specific coils since our rear end was constantly sagging due to alot of equipment (rack, roof top tent, water tanks etc for Overlanding).
Falcon SP2.1 Monotube Shocks for JT 2.5-3.5“ lift
Teraflex progressive bumpstops front and rear - Strike pads we left the AEV 2“ in
Rock Jock rear driveshaft bracket to correct pinion angle.
Now since mounting the springs the truck had quite a rake - I assume that this is because of the front Coils not being made for the weight of the 3.0 Diesel and not JT specific.
We last week mounted a ruggedridge arcus front bumper with a warn evo 10s winch and the rake has gotten worse (sits roughly 5cm lower - or 2 inches in the front).
What would you guys propose to change? Swap out the front coils for e.g. Teraflex 3.5“ JT specific coils? But also there teraflex suggests to add a 1“ load spacer for the 3.0 Diesel to compensate the additional weight. So fitting both?
When doing so I intend to as well fit trackbar correction brackets front and rear.
Thanks in addition for your help!
Cheers from Switzerland
