Nice thread, I was actually coming to this subforum to look for a solution like this. My original plan was to install the AEV spacer lift, but with bumpers front and rear, winch, and a topper, I think I’m getting a lot of baseline spring and shock compression with the added weight. My handling and ride quality has definitely suffered with the added weight, so I need new springs but would like to retain the Mojave shocks. This thread was from 2021 so I know the OP was dealing with CV shortages, are there better components available now in more of a package? Or a better way of asking might be, OP if you could do it again, what would you do different? Minus the airbags because I don’t tow and don’t need them.

Also 14 hours isn’t half bad, I’ve done three AEV Dualsport lift installs and they’re always about 12 hours for me.

I am also interested in the 2.5 Clayton springs with the Mojave shocks. I am constantly hitting the bump stops. There is one speed bump in my neighborhood that does it every time. I have the AEV spacer lift installed. Wondering if th Clayton springs would be a little stiffer and solve this problem. Would it be ok to just remove the bump stops in front. I don’t do any crazy off-reading just overland type stuff

The Clayton 2.5" springs definitely help with weight versus the AEV 2" spacers.

Both pics are with the spare tire removed, which is around 90 lb. The RLD cap (175 lb) and Camp King roof top tent (198 lb) add a constant 373 lb load over the bed. The tires are 37 BFG T/A KO2's.

Adding the spare tire back in, which as mentioned is around 90 lb, causes some squat in the back. Adding additional gear when overlanding will cause it to squat even more. Below pic has 3" of lift in front and 2.3" of lift in rear, after squat, compared to a stock Mojave.

So I swapped out the front Clayton 2.5" springs for Clayton 1.5" springs to get the stock rake back. That gave me 2.3" of lift in the front and 2.3" of lift in the rear.

After a test drive the front settled 1/8" and the rear 3/8". So I installed Teraflex 0.5" rear spring spacers to get the rake back. That gave me a final 2.2" of lift in the front and 2.5" of lift in the rear.

Clayton springs run 1/2" taller than advertised and my Gladiator has nearly 3/4" of spring compression in the rear from the cap and tent. So for me the easiest way was to buy the AEV 2" Spacer Lift and replace the spacers with Clayton 1.5" front springs and Clayton 2.5" rear springs. Took some experimentation to figure that out though

I also installed the updated Mopar front left lower spring isolator that has some coil correction for longer springs: TSB 02-006-18. Left is original isolator 68466077AA, right is updated isolator 68427380AA. Note less curvature in the profile.

And the Rock Jock front lower isolator shim on the right to keep the Gladiator even after replacing Jeep's corner specific springs with Clayton's equal rate springs. AEV includes a similar part in their DualSport kit.

No problem, glad the thread is providing some use to people! Not too active on the forum anymore, but I still have the truck and the Clayton 2.5 lift still working perfect for me. Last year I did all the control arms, it drives great.
