What does it take to remove the gas mileage fins? The plastic pieces that tie the fenders to the front bumper?

Think they need to come off.

I think it's like 13 little 5.5mm screws on the back side (per side) and you can get to all of them without even taking the tires off with a ratchet.

So there are 7 screws and two plastic plugs that have to come out and go back.
I am sure there are several that have removed this hardware.
Has anyone built filler panels to go back and cover the fog lights and wiring

Easiest I've seen is someone taking a dremel to the stock pieces and trimming off the excess.
