Hi there ... I retrofitted power locks into my Gladiator and am looking for the front door jumper harnesses needed to add the interior lock switches. For reference, the existing front left jumper harness is 68351128AD that only has the connector for the LED light.

I think 68351131AC is the correct front right harness but can't figure out which part is the left harness.

I'm looking into retrofitting power locks myself. I'm coming from an old truck with an extra cab and had no idea how much the manual rear door locks would bother me.

Can you tell me what all you used?

Sure.. Benny might be interested too but the story is unfinished. When I have more I'll edit this down and post the full story elsewhere...

That gets you the basic wiring. I added the two switches

6AC61DX9AC and 6AC64DX9AC which I had to cut holes for. .. and then the wiring harnesses above.

The harder part is "now what". My 2020 JT had full wiring harnesses running to the doors so it was a matter of how to get the remotes working... and I'm still working on that. Most people seem to want to splice in a cheap alarm system but I'm trying something fancier.

There are bunch of threads on this and the proximity handles here and over on the JL forums.

https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/installed-power-door-locks-to-my-jl-sport.16398/

My JT has a full body harness going to the doors (ie.. I have all the pins) so I started by assuming I could do something like adding a Remote Starter kit (I could find a few threads of people trying this, haven't confirmed it ever worked). That comes with a new RF Hub and high gain antenna (so you can start the truck at a distance) and a pair of new keys with the open/close/start buttons. The instructions are pretty straight forward... swap in the new hub (break a bunch of clips on the body panel doing it). .. etc.. I used ALFAODB for the programming and managed to get the keys to work open/closing the doors but the "Replace HF Hub" function would never work and I couldn't get the keys programmed for the ignition. Of course, the old keys no longer work either (they would eventually if the instructions worked) so I'm sitting there with one set of keys that open the doors but won't start the truck so I can't give up and go to a dealer and beg them to do the programming. Or I can swap back in the original RF Hub and at least be able to drive. I swapped back in the original to do some more thinking.

Here's the thing.. and this is as far as I've gotten so far.

With ALFAODB running and "power locks" enabled, I can tell the computer to lock and unlock the doors AND the doors auto lock once you start driving and auto-unlock when you stop. So, the truck now thinks and behaves like it has power locks.

More interesting, the truck also has the proximity sensors in the door pillars and the computer seems to know that the basic "no button" keys are "just outside the door". (you can "search" for your remotes using ALFAOBD .. it shows them inside, outside, left door, right door etc...). My current thesis is the proximity door handles will "just work" once installed the the computer programmed with the right sales code. (many threads on that). The harnesses listed above have the plugs for the handles so the cost of trying this is approx $110 per door.

Anyway.... stay tuned. I have the jumper harnesses, proximity handles and a blank/virgin two button key fob on route..... Hope to have at least some of it here this weekend to test.

Amazing. Thank you for the work and details. Looking forward to hearing what you end up putting together.
