Woah... it's been a little while...

Time to correct my mistake with ordering the Alpine system.

I lost most under-seat storage but gained a TON in sound quality and bass.

I've always liked Kicker and the price was great during july 4th sales. Went with a Comp R 10" 4 ohm wired at 2ohm. The amp puts out 600w at 2ohm. I have room to upgrade to the L7T in the future. Used the PAC AmpPRO AP4-CH41 to make the wiring easier. Used Kicker Q series RCA cables. I got 6m and that was way too long. 5m is plenty. 4m might be just too short.

Started with Metra pods, sound deadening, and polyfill. Ran 16 gauge wire through the grommet.

Then on to the power supply. Ran 0 gauge through the firewall plug. Drilled a hole to pass the wire through. It BARELY fit in the wire channels on the floor.

Tore the dash apart. Use magnetic bits for your sanity. I did not.

First speaker in!

Used the innards from the PAC bass control and swapped it into the Kicker bass knob housing. One less wire to run to the back.

On to the sound bar. Used MB Quart kit. It's nice but i should have got the Stinger as the surround separates from the grille so it can be painted

Time to gut the cab...

This panel is a PITA. I broke most of the main clips. I cut out the factory sub bump from the panel

I found this on a Facebook post. It's the template for what I did. I might make the cover but it's behind the seat so probably not.
