See Genesis. Zero new plants, zero new showrooms. Though it is fair to say they are suffering from the showroom bit. I can't imagine people used to buying BMWs liking being treated the way people are typically treated in a Hyundai dealership.

Not sure what BMW dealerships you have been to - but i've gotten better treatment at Ford Dealerships than I have BMW. Especially when it comes to the service centers - BMW dealers are notoriously bad to deal with. Mercedes and Lexus are far better experiences imo.
