You ever come up near Arkansas?
Sure do, come up to Hot Springs Off Road park a few times a year. I will be passing through Arkansas on September 9th and 11th for a trip to the Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch

One last bump, it’s coming off the truck Monday and getting dissembled. Make me an offer.

Hi Unkle Luk,

I noticed in your post that you've used two sets of XRS Roof Top Tent Quick Disconnects for mounting your roof nest on all four top crossbars. I'm considering a similar setup for my Jeep and was wondering if the quick disconnects are necessary purely for convenience and speed of removal, or do they also provide additional height that's required for the roof nest to clear the roof of the Jeep? Any insights you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

you will definitely need the quickdisconnects or some other type of spacer if using a tent that will hang over the cab. With a single set, the bars would flex enough off-road that the front of my tent would hit the hard top on hard bumps. Using two sets cured that mostly, but it would still happen on hard hits.

Thank you so much for your quick response and for sharing your insights. Based on what you've explained, it's clear that the quick disconnects play a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity of the tent setup, especially off-road.

Considering your advice, I'm now leaning towards choosing the Roofnest Condor Overland 2 for my setup. I believe it might offer a better fit for my needs, especially in terms of stability and clearance. Your experience has been incredibly helpful in guiding my decision.

Thanks once again for your help!

Best, Roberto Gonzalez
