my first business utilized a p.o. box for its address on checks and invoices. every once in a while i would be asked for a physical address when writing a check. i would say one three one three mockingbird lane. no one ever got it.
I wondered if anyone would ever catch that - then you came along. ;)

It doesn’t allow me to put in a work Or my house address
I use the nearest intersection for ā€œhomeā€, so if someone gets into my vehicle or steaks it, they can’t find/rob my house while I’m walking home.

I believe it……. My Dad was the same.
God rest his soul - I totally *get it*…. At a certain age, they’re just not able to comprehend the new technology simply due to lack of brain function.
They like to stick with ā€˜what they know’…..

My Dad was 91 when he passed…. in his mind…. he thought he was still 55.
Always talking about ā€˜girls’ like he was still dating. ☺
Luckily for us, we conveniently took his driving privileges 5 years earlier.
My dad passed his ā€œseniorā€ driving test at 90 with flying colors. When he turned 94, in assisted living, and no longer driving, the state sent him an application to renew his license by mail! I told him to send it in, since you never know. It was also one less nail in the coffin.

While it's not a great idea to actually put your full address in there - heaven help the person who thinks they will have easy picking here if my neighbor sees them - he has means of causing them great pain.
His wife once almost scared away my brother - he said he was scared to death of her the way she came over running at him.

I can’t say the same about my Dad… I’d only see him once a year, but when I’d get in the car with him, he’d scare the shit outta me. I remember one day, there were 2 lanes making a turn and he just drove over into the other lane cutting off a guy in a BIG truck. At the next stop light…. The guy (in the big truck) pulled up beside us and started yelling at him. OMG…. I was shittin’ my pants praying the guy didn’t pull out a pistol. 😳 Dad was extremely apologetic (Thank GOD!! He would’ve never done that when he was younger).

Dad wouldn’t listen to us when we told him to stop driving……. We talked to his primary care doctor and requested the doc tell my Dad - ā€You shouldn’t be driving anymoreā€ - and that was it. He believed the doctor…..and we were relieved!!
