Just picked up my first Jeep this weekend. Traded in my 17 Tacoma.

I'm admittedly way behind on technology. I used to just plug my ipod into my Tacoma to listen to music but when I plug it into the jeep, it gives me a "device not supported " error on the screen.
Is there a way I can get my ipod to play?

When I get that error with my phone, it is a USB cable issue.

Same type of ipod?

Try an Aux cable - the headphone jack on both ends style.

Since Apple has killed the iPod (basically, only 1 left), manufacturers probably aren't supporting them backwards. They may only be supporting USB-Lightening cables, not the USB-30pins.

Other option is possibly the iPod needs to be updated. And try having the iPod unlocked when you connect.

I've connected my iPhone X and a few times it's given me the "device not supported" message, then the unit figures itself out and connects.

If it has Bluetooth, you can try connecting that way.

Got it to play using headphones cable but nothing displays on the vehicle screen like it did on my Tacoma.
Oh well, guess that's what you get when you combine old/new tech.

Thanks for the help.
