Limit on songs on iPod?

i have the Uconnect 8.4 and I’ve alwsys had a 160 gb iPod connected in my trucks to listen to a lot of my music collection. I have the iPod connected in the middle console and for the first 2 weeks it worked perfect. But now, it is mixing up songs (playing Alice In Chains when I’ve chosen Tower of Power) and doesn’t want to play tracks later in the alphabet (not much past R).
For example, when I chose Tool or Van Halen before- it worked perfect. Now if I choose them, it sits and does nothing.

Any ideas how to fix this? I’m meticulous with my iTunes and iPod sorting- and it worked fine before. Now I’m not sure what is happening.

Also- I’ve done a reset on the iPod to no avail.
