37s will barely squeeze in the spare location. 40s won't so I went 37s. between those two tires it is whatever you get the better deal on. I have friends at BFG so I try to run them.Torn between KM3 37s and Toyo RT 37s here. Weigh the same.
Fat Bob's has three customized JTs. Two with 37s and one with 40s sitting out front.
Good examples.
I've heard good things about offroad and snow. Packed snow they have good reviews from some people and so so ones from others. With the long wheelbase, it will be just fine I'm sure. IF they end up sucking a set of studded 315/70 17s might be a good option till summer comes back. How do you think those will perform in the snow?
Good point. No 40s, definitely going 37s here. Still doing a gear swap to compensate especially at our altitude.37s will barely squeeze in the spare location. 40s won't so I went 37s. between those two tires it is whatever you get the better deal on. I have friends at BFG so I try to run them.
I went into LHM Morgan and I wouldn’t recommend them. They wouldn’t go lower than MSRP and tried to low ball me on my trade in. Went to Doug Smith in AF the next day and worked out a deal with Andy. I got a couple grand off MSRP and their first offer on my trade-in was $4,500 more than LHM Morgan. My experience at Doug Smith was great. I wasn’t able to get any other dealer in Utah to budge off of MSRP.Has anyone bought from the dealer in Morgan? They have a billboard along I-15 saying they'll beat any price, so I wonder if they'll be competitive with Peterson Stampede. Worth a look if a trip to Idaho is a deal breaker. Salt Lake Valley Jeep is a joke. They were marking up every unit by $10K early on. Haven't looked lately. I tried with LHM Sandy too before ordering and they weren't marking up but they also wouldn't budge a single dollar off MSRP. They were dicks about my wife's Pacifica too so we ended up buying one off the lot at Doug Smith in AF.
I'm not planning a regear till I have a bunch of miles on it to know what I want. I did 4.56 in my last jeep on 37s but it was a manual. Looking at the gearing calculator I should be about the same as that was with the 8 speed. That's a such a subjective decision it'll have to wait till I have alot of seat time.Good point. Looks good. Where are you located?I run 37x13.5R17 Ridge Grapplers and the Mopar lift. I really like these tires over the KO2s I ran on my JK. They're quiet and capable. I think 35s look a little undersized on a lifted Rubicon because of the fender flares. I'm still on 4.10 gears. Here's an old pic with the 37s. I have since swapped the bumper out for the Mopar steel one and added a 0.75" spacer to the front to undo the drop from the extra weight.

Yeah once it ships don't bother with them anymore. They couldn't even tell me if it had left the yard in Toledo when it was already to the Roper depot in Utah. The dealer can get specific locations. Kent told me what day mine was in Roper so I tried to get a peek at it since I was in the area anyway but no luck. A shame it had to go from Utah all the way to Boise only to have me bring it back. After it hits kz jeep chat doesn't get updated.
Talked to dealer today. He had words with the regional rep.... Mine and 11 others are just sitting in the lot not moving. Mine has been built and waiting for a train for 3 weeks.
Mines in final inspection. Hope there not holding up the train for it so they can load it...After it hits kz jeep chat doesn't get updated.
