Honestly you'll probably be fine.
Here is a set of 5.38 gears from a JK and JL. The redesigned set looks to have a substantial more amount of contact.

Just to keep the data updated with the conversation I have reposted what you were referring to in the below image. The RPMs are as stated and for me, perfect.

I obviously misinterpreted your statement “With 37s and 5.13 it's about the same as just driving in 7th” to mean 5.13s would be running much higher rpm’s than with 4.88s which didn’t make sense. I was not diluting the data, I was just trying to see where the 5.13s would be approaching a 7th gear rpm. I think we are on the same page now.

Fully agree with your view here. Actually all geometry considered, the 4.88s may be the strongest of the bunch.

I dropped the Jeep off earlier. He's throwing the gears in today and I'm taking him the diff covers in the morning to finish it up.
Scored some metal cloak covers on BF deal for 180 for the pair with a front diff skid. BUT they are still out for delivery or Id have given them to him today.

Awesome on the dif covers. Nice to just have it done while they're off. I finally found a Dana front and he is putting it on Tuesday.
