So I have an Xtrusion Overland rack on my bed, but I wanted some extra storage space on top.. but also wasn't sure I'd like it so I went the cheap route and bought a Hooke Road half cab rack. As far as I know, JCR is the only other company that makes this style for the Gladiator. The issue, though, is that once I had it on and was has the clamps working, I quickly realized that once the clamps were in place, the rear door wouldn't open!! The clamps literally blocked them. Even if I were to trim off one side of the rubber protector it wasn't going to work. So my question is is anyone using this style of rack and does it work so your doors open? Did Hooke Road just use a much thicker gauge than the others? There little space there for a clamp to fit in, but maybe a thinner piece would just make it.
