I bought there roof racks and whatever they used to coat them with wipes off every time I dry them after washing. They first provided me a link to buy spray paint from Amazon. Next they wanted to give me a discount on my next purchase that will never happen. I know they are a sponsor but they need to sell a product they will stand behind.

That bumper looks to be made of 100% Chinesium Alloy.

Chinesium or not, brush guards are notorious for doing more damage to the vehicle than it would prevent if it gets hit.

I believe your rack is coated in the tears of child labors, indentured workers and factory grime.

Made me think of some of the videos I've seen of manufacturing (In other locations).

Notice how PC I was in my in my description!

Folks squatting on dirt floors, barefoot, or in sandals, making amazing things, in the worst of conditions.

Many of those types of vids are notoriously fake. I watch those Indian/Pakistani vids of them rebuilding engines in the dirt with hand tools. As a former master auto mechanic/machinist and professional race engine builder....no fucking way. No. Goddamn. Way. There's zero chance those dirty slap-together engines honed with sandpaper and rocks ran for more than 5 minutes after the cameras turned off. Dirty rags and breaker bars don't get it done. I don't even care what anyone says. That shit won't work. I'll literally fistfight someone over it. It's insulting. 😀

Like those two indigenous looking dudes that build elaborate underground swimming pools and spas with nothing other than their hands and a small homemade garden hoe for digging? Totally fake.

It's funny having lived in countries like this, what people do to try to get by . As a motorcyclist, I've seen the videos of beautiful leathers. Some people buy them, and the first get off on the track, they shred. Gorgeous looking exhaust systems, that have no R&D whatsoever. Greg, I have to disagree with you on one point. These videos are not staged, too much trouble to try to choregraph such things. But like the leathers and the exhaust systems, and the engines cut in half and welded back together. I think the outcome of all is assured.

I don't know, maybe you're right, but if you look at the obscene amount of views and likes these types of vids get then it's worth it to fake them.

There's one making motorcycle gas tanks, to me, it's horrific.

Withe the entire hovel set up for this specialized function, hard to believe it's not real.

The ones with the "Precision" Lathe work, my mouth is usually open, eyes wide, and I can't stop shaking my head.

Cheers.

All I can think of when I see those videos of guys in flip flops doing this sort of thing is "Safety third!!"

I've got to watch some guys in middle east hanging pipes with a propane/ oxygen torch cutting metal then welding stuff with the same setup. With me thinking WTF, but then realizing my grandfather was doing some of the same sort things years ago in his machine shop when my father was a toddler.
I did see that bumper listing it looks okay in looks but in materials not so good. Damn I've got to find a new steel supplier soon, my new welder should be delivered next week. I'm wanting to build a few new bumpers. Damned if I didn't order one on Black Friday, I so needed another welder. 🙄

Dang that guy in the utube video has the same chop saw I do.

I have an old motorcycle frame I am restoring.

Bought some rod.

Being retired Military I went to my bases Auto Craft Shop to do the deed.

The young man behind the corner asked what I wanted to do today.

"Some torch work, some brazing to smooth some ugly welds"

What?

"Brazing."

Never heard of it, let's see what you're doing.

Puddled up nicely.

Yeah that won't hold.

"Yeah it will, how do you think welding was done prior to electricity?"

Becoming a lost art

The way that thing is built, that grille guard is for ornamental purposes only.
Aren’t they all with speed?
