Considering front bumper by either Hooke Road or Oerdo. Does anyone have any experience with either company that they'd be willing to share?

I bought Hooke Road side steps. They were priced well, have a nice design that follow the curvature of the Gladiator sides and look good, however, they arrived with a couple of small dents in the tubes. The other issue is that I get rust stains from water that finds it's way inside the tubing and seeps out towards the rear of the tube which does have a cap/weep hole...

I'm pretty sure they're the same thing. Quantity over quality brand.

When I was looking for steps I wanted to hook Road but was a little put off by what I saw as some shortcomings in the design and really wanted the rock hard Patriots because I wanted a slider functional drop step. During the time of my indecision I came across a great deal on some barricades which are highly underrated. Very heavy. But they didn't have a drop step.
The more I built my Jeep and drove it in the Florida trails, the more the fantasy of rock climbing out west, and all of those specialized needs, sliders being one, began to dissipate.
From there it was an easy decision. I've had them somewhere around a year and they work great. Just don't look at them under a microscope and you'll be fine.

I didn't buy a Hooke Road bumper but I did get their cargo shelf for my JL and was very happy with it. Good design, well made, exceptional finish and it was easy to install.

For the bumper I went with a Rough Country #10596 on my JL, which also fits the JT, and that was an awesome piece.
