Happy July 4th!
Naa…. No wheeling.

Party prepping….. Every year we have a big party at the house w/ 30-35 people & a we set off a pretty good fireworks show. We tag team with our neighbor, so its all that much of a show. Lots of cleaning, cooking, prepping…

Izzy got a good bath….. people always love seeing the Jeep (and the hubby’s BMW). New graphics this year on Izzy.

Always a good time to see friends & family but I’ll be glad when it‘s over so we can relaX the rest of the summer.

God Bless this beautiful country or ours…….God Bless our service men & women whom help keep us free!! You just can’t THANK them enough!!

We had a wonderful evening with 36 folks at the house. Fireworks went off without any issues. This morning - cleanup!!

Luckily nobody did….but our neighbor makes us nervous.

My husband (and a few friends) get the fireworks setup in the back of the yard…. With fire extinguisher and hose at the ready. My husband is meticulous about where things are setup…where they go, and how they’re pointed, etc. He lights them manually…..

Our neighbor…. has his fireworks setup via remote control and/or timer.. That’s a neat idea - especially since they’re all probably drunker than drunk. Every year….something (in his setup) catches on fire. They don’t even notice.
They don’t douse the boxes after the show is over….. They’ve had a fire hours after the show was over. Last night…. again, they had a fire. I tried to alert them, but ended up walking over with OUR hose and started to douse the fire. The one guy came out with a hose….he went to turn it on, and nothing came out.
A little preparedness goes a long way!!

One specific firework has a horizontal spread…. We both had them….
My husband makes sure its parallel to the house and to the farmers field.
The neighbor…. ? The spread was shooting off towards his house!!!

Yea…they make us nervous!!
