Hard Case Vertical Mount Ideas

Any suggestions on how to mount Roam or Pelican case vertically to the side of bed rack? If you drill through and bolt warranty is voided so not sure that's best way unless only way.

I have been struggling with this myself as I want nothing more than to mount some Pelican cases to my Rhino rack. the problem is that all the mounting solutions for both Roam and Pelican are designed for racks that have horizontally mounted slots. this is fine as most racks are built this way. Unfortunately for me, Rhino Racks and their infinite wisdom chose to go with vertically mounted slots. I have called Pelican and they really did try to help but they simply don't have a solution.

the only thing I can think of is fine the old pelican mounting brackets that have been discontinued and see if you can retro fit them to the side of your rack like you pictured.

I absolutely refuse to drill holes in an already overpriced box.

be warned, they were discontinued due to the latches themselves failing.

I should also ad that I am (I'm not kidding here) currently in talks with an engineer at pelican for a solution. I reached their customer service and they actually put me in touch with the engineer who designed the current mounting solution for the horizontal slots. Ill update here if he says anything insightful.

Maybe nothing fits but their customer service is really something else.

just a heads up, they fit with no drilling, but only if you go all the way to the edge as the last extrusion slot is a shorter distance to the rest of the slots! I also found that the smaller one will fit as well (bracket to fit the BX55S) but only on the center extrusions and its a little tight.
