For the interior hardtop bolts, Dominion OffRoad made hardtop savers for the other Jeep models, basically custom cut steel plates backed by 3M tape strips. The plates distribute the bolt pressure on the hardtop to mitigate cracks over time in case you over tighten on occasion. The JL plates do not fit the JT—JT bolt locations are narrower and rounded. I am in email comms with Dominion. I am optimistic they’ll come up with something for the JT. I sent pics and they are planning to look at a JT to check it out.
Sure, you could go cut some steel to make your own. I like supporting small businesses and I don’t like to fabricate things when someone has better tools to do it, so I’m happy to pay for a good product. If they make them and anyone is interested I will post here when they have a solution.
Here’s the JK/JL item for reference. https://www.dominionoffroad.com/jeep_jk_hard_top_crack_fix/index.htm
