So the other day i tried replacing my stock halogen headlight and fog light bulbs with Slyvania LED bulbs, after installing them i noticed that when i turned the headlights on that my passenger side DRL would stay illuminated (normally it wouldn't) and the driver side stayed off. I used Jscan and changed the headlight and fog light settings to LED and was unsuccessful at getting the DRL to stay off. I hated that it stayed on a put the halogen bulbs back in, changed the settings back to normal using the Jscan but the DRL problem is still present. Im also getting a U1514-87 Missing Secret Code error message on Jscan . I did get a passenger rear turning signal out error, but that seems to have gone away after replacing the halogens and doing a restart all ecus on all modules. Not sure if it will come back after driving it for a while though. Anyone have any ideas on the DRL issue and the error code?

Did you try putting it back to “halogen” settings with the led bulbs in?

im thinking since you replaced the halogen bulbs with LED’s but didn’t swap to true LED units then it might not need the jscan to work properly.

Id did try the LEDs in halogen setting as well, i thought the same thing u did. I called the dealership and they think it may be a faulty wiring harness between the headlight and DRL. Obviously im not telling them about how i put the LEDs in and used Jscan. Hopefully the extended warranty i have covers it
