I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but lately I have observed my oil pressure switching to high pressure mode for long periods of time after cold start. I noticed this after letting the truck sit for about a week because I was driving my other vehicle to work. Temps have been below 30 degrees F so I thought it was just running high pressure mode for the cold but it will stay around 77 psi for ten minutes of driving. I have never seen a modern pentastar do this, usually it will drop back down to 30 psi right away after starting. I also noticed my alternator voltage was high at 15.1 volts when it does this. Usually it will go back to normal after I drive the truck for a while, 30 psi at idle and cruising then jump up to 77 after 3k rpm. I'm thinking either the two stage pump solenoid is giving out or this is just some new thing jeep is doing with their 2024 models to help with the cold or sitting for long times. If anyone else has noticed this please let me know. Mine is a 2024 gladiator mojave automatic with 3.6 engine.
