So is there any thing I can do to plug up the holes in the back of the box? Duck tape is not an option. The round hole I can probably find a rubber plug but the one that the tie down is in I don't know what to use. Here in upstate NY I am getting a lot of road salt in and that is not acceptable. Thanks for any help Mark

Are you referring to gaps around the tail gate?
If so theres a weatherstripping you can get for tailgates to stop the leakage, and it doesn't interfere with the gate function.

No over by the bed light there is a round hole and one where the tie down is, you can see where the round hole is surrounded by salt.
