I just got my Threedom M+ fob, and I love how much smaller and lighter it is in my pocket. However, I don't love how loudly it rattles against my other keys and pocket knife. Has anyone creatively inserted felt or rubber or something into their Threedom fob to fill some of the voids and make it echo less?

I’m still debating getting one or not. I love the idea of a much smaller fob… but not so sure about the feel and texture of 3-D printed plastic.

I mean, I’ve tried a couple 3D printed chastity cages, and it’s just too rough and porous and stains so easy, and just feels cheap.

much prefer molded resins or something super smooth.

How do these feel in the hand? Which texture did you choose?

I went back to my order to see the options I chose:
Texture: Smooth

Select Your Fob Color: White Lightning

Do You Want Contrasting Button Colors?: Yes

Button Color: White and Red
So I got the smooth texture, but it's... not that smooth. If that's important to you, you might be disappointed. It feels good in the hand, and the buttons have a nice raised, tactile feel, so it's easy to hit lock or unlock by feel. There's no mistaking that it's 3D printed and not molded, but it's not enough to bother me. After about 5 months, it's still pretty clean looking.

My only gripe is still the sound. With such thin plastic, which is mostly hollow, it rattles loudly when picking it up off the table or taking it out of my pocket. I still might get motivated to pry it open and stick some felt in there at some point.

I have the smaller one and have never paid attention to the sounds it makes. Maybe you can fill the back with a potting compound or some sort of silicone?

I added moleskin (band-aid type stuff) to the inside of mine... it really seemed to help a lot
