Hub rings

I have Raceline wheels and the wheel bore is 83.82 But I have rings that convert it perfectly to 71.5. The wheels have a cap on them that the shop says doesn’t allow rings. Is there a work around with this or just out of luck?

Is the Cap removable? the work around would be lose the Caps. Have same with ProComp wheels sent the rings back for refund as I liked the caps covering the center hub.
