Save yourself a bunch of $$ and go with a tent from Naturnest... same roof top tents as the other brands but without the crazy mark-up. I've been very satisfied with my Sirius 2 RTT from them and it doesn't look like all the others out there.
Solid pricing! CVT has sales all the time too. Got my $600 Annex room for free when i bought my tent. I paid 1100 total for a 4 season, with winter liner, annex room, extended fly, and extra mattress.

I have the @JcrOffroad adventure rack I shortened a bit to play nice with the truck bed cover. You can see it in my build thread.

Then also your basic Smittybilt rtt. We put a 2 inch memory foam pad inside.

If you get an rtt with a soft cloth cover, I highly recommend removing/covering it when you don't plan to use it. The first year we had ours it took such a beating in the California sun. Now that it's stayed covered while typically being on our camp trailer it stopped sun bleaching and has stayed water tight.
