My wife and I decided it was time to move out of the 2021. After a couple weeks of trying to figure out the best dealer to deal with, we settled on the one that was just down the road. They had discounted the JTs 3k, and with rebates and incentives, I was able to get a leftover High Tide for 7k total off MSRP. They also gave me the most for my 2021. Most places were 20-22k, they gave me 25k for it, let me keep my factory installed tonneau cover, and slush mats from the Willys. For some reason this JT seems like it is more powerful. I am not sure why. We drove two 2026 Sport S with max tow package that felt similar to my willys even with the lower gear. The High Tide has the same 3.73 as the Willys but seems like it has a few more ponies for some reason. The only negative was not getting LSD in the High Tide. That is something I think all trucks shoud come with.

Nice. One of my buddies goes there, because he's friends with one of the salesmen. I checked with them on the last 2 Jeeps, but they didn't do any better than my usual guy in Littleton, so never got as far as trade-in values.

Nice upgrade. The High Tide is a great tidy package. I went from a 2020 to a 2024 and can appreciate the benefits of upgrading. I see you now have LEDs and a bigger infotainment screen alone is a game changer for everyday use.

Are the Gladiators with Trac Loks better than previous Jeeps that had Trac Lok and no BLD? I assume they probably are.

I once put a Trac Lok in a TJ. Didn't do much for traction, but it made the rear end a lot easier to kick sideways on slick roads.

The trac lock works really well. It spins a lot less than other gladiators that I’ve driven that didn’t have the rear end locked. The brake limited slip lets it spin more than I like before it kicks in. Mine has always surprised me at how little is spins on wet rocks and muddy trails. It very rarely even spins the tires in 4wd.

The only other Jeep I ever had with one was my old 96 XJ with the up country pkg so I can’t compare. My others were rubicon or quadradrive WJ which is completely different.

I got a chance to do some stuff to it. I had already instaled Rivet nuts to the bulkhead of the bed to install the Mopar roll up tonneau cover, so that was installed earlier in the week. I also ditched the panels for the sunrider because of wishful thinking.
