Sport S with leveling kit (1.5" front, .75" rear), stock rims running Falken 285/75R17. I chose this combo specifically because it was a skinnier tire which I felt would help with any rubbing. I have been extremely happy with this setup, both on and off-road.
But yesterday I pulled my front wheels off for a separate project and found this:

That is the driver side. The passenger side has a mark, but it is not a groove yet. My tire guy is going to yank this and I'll keep it as the spare.
The culprit:

I never checked for contact there, didn't even think to. Just looked at the outside of the tire.

So now my question: I need new rims or spacers, right? I ran spacers on my Commander for many years, but would just like to go the simpler route with new rims. But rims, they confuse me. What do I want? More Offset? More backspacing? This is where I get lost. Please give me suggestions on new rims.

Generally speaking it seems 4.75 to 4.5 backspacing is the sweet spot. From those options, the wider the wheel the more negative your offset will be and the more poke you will have.
