I have an Insane Diesel oil bypass kit for sale. This was installed on my ‘21 JTRD for about a year. I also had an oil cooler installed with the system. Not from ID.
Full disclosure. This system worked as advertised from ID with one exception. I live at elevation, in the mountains of central New Mexico. I’ve experienced 2 major oil leaks from the bypass oil filter housing. This happened at the beginning of winter last year and this year. Only at the first freeze of each (20 degrees). After RE Torque of the housing it would not happen again. The RE Torque would only work if done @ the 20* temperature before warming up the engine. No leaks occurred after the first freeze RE Torque. Made it through the first winter. Changed bypass filter during the summer. First freeze. Leaked again. I got upset. Removed the system.
Obviously, I only recommend for vehicles in warmer climates that will not see temperatures near freezing.
Included is shown in the pictures.
2- 1 micron by pass filters. 1- O-ring is missing.
Bypass oil filter housing
Engine oil filter adapter. Gen ll ED oil filters must be used with this. They snap in/out. Cost about $15 for a WIX.
Engine oil fill cap. This is where the bypass oil returns.
Some fittings as shown.
You will need to purchase a few fittings for your specific install. Hose as needed.
The pictures show the part # for hose and WIX that will be needed. Not more than $100 for install parts. Adding an oil cooler in the loop will drop oil temps significantly. I have posted many times in the oil cooling threads my experience.
I would not have removed the system if I lived in a warmer climate.
$300
