Installing Overland wheels & tires on Sport? Speedometer issue?

Sorry but I’m a Jeep newbie. Bought a new Gladiator and want to get some bigger wheels and tires (who doesnt). Found some Overland take offs (mine a sport) that I’ll probably get. Will the 18” over lands throw off my 17” sports speedometer..? If so, how can I fix? Thanks.

Assuming both are running stock tires, not enough of an error for you to care/notice.
If you do care the dealer could probably do it, or a "Tazer" tool.

Great. If the spare was left alone would it be ok to use it with the new tires? They would be a different size and heard it might mess up transmission. Thanks.

I mean technically the overland's are bigger, but I wouldn't spend much if anything to go that route. The wheels while noticeable bigger being 18's instead of 17's. But the 0.6" in height wont make for a bigger tire. Actually a smaller in appearance tire as there is less rubber on the sides. If you want it to look more "jeep" like then look for Rubicon take off's. Wheels are the same 17" as the sport, but the tires are about 2" taller. Also more aggressive in appearance.

That said if its a mall crawler your after & you just like the overland wheels better have at it. Your spare is close enough you shouldnt have to change it, but I wouldnt want to use it for too awful long.
