Well, I’ve only had my truck about 24-hours now, but I drove from North Carolina to Boston on a set of 285/75R18 Falken Wildpeaks on the stock Overland rims.

Even with a new engine, the four stock tires and the soft top loaded in the bed, and driving in windy conditions, I ended the drive with 19MPG. Better than I expected for a new-engine initial trip with a pretty un-aerodynamic load.

I haven’t yet installed my hot heads headliner, but noise wasn’t noticeable (except occasional wind gusts) and I was able to carry on speakerphone conversations easily—I had one caller comment on the lack of background noise while I was on the highway.

I was 100% going this route and then this damn local guy showed up with Launch Edition wheels and tires I'm picking up this weekend. They will just look too sick with Gobi.

I ended up sticking with the overland 18" rims went with 35" x 12.5 Ironman all country tires $220 a piece. Still at 19 mpg my speedo was off by 2 mph showing 42 mph on speed cart 44 mph. The tires only hang out of fender about a inch. I did install a 2.5" ICON stage 1 lift, so no rubbing.

Update, Mpg is around 17 now with about 100 miles on the tires.

I have 285/75/17 Ridge Grapplers & 17” by 8.5” AEV wheels these are heavy set up 105# each. I averaged 16mpg around town & 19mpg highway if speed limit stays below 65 & 18.5mpg if it’s 75 to 80 mpg. 8 speed 373 gear Overland

Mine will look just like yours but Rubicon - painted fenders, black top, tan interior, 6spd.
Wanted to get your take on the drive - did you drive down as well? What route did you take? Any hot spots to look out for/avoid? How long did it take? I'll be driving down to pick up mine when it's ready - Tentative build start is next week.

hey man love the set up. Did you happen to have the tires and wheels on before the lift by any amount of time? I’m trying to see if I can do the wheels and tires the day before the lift without causing a problem to the truck. Thanks

Yes mopar 2.5
very nice. Did you happen to have the lift installed after the wheels/tires? I’m getting ready to put 35x12.5x18 toyos on mine but the lift the next day. Wondering if I’ll cause any problem with the truck in that day where the liftwon’ be on yet ? Any insight?
