I use my Spiderwebshade the same way, originally I put a few towels up there to reduce noice and the heat (Which works great by BTW). Now I put extra jackets, blankets and things up there. It helps hide things but also harder to see them and get to Your stored items.

I use a cargo net style hammock for overhead storage. I usually run with the soft top up but the doors off so not a problem. Draw really tight and zip-tie side closest to overhead roll bar to keep it in place. Keeps everything off the floor!

My OCD would go haywire everytime I'd look in the rearview mirror. But it is a smart way to use the space. Maybe a thicker strap like the Safari Straps. And Black. Make it less subtle. But that's al just preference.

I'm thinking about a molle panel that runs door to door in the rear of my JT. I would like to hang our duffle bags from it to get them up out of the way. Not sure which way to go though.

Good idea!. Having a family of 4 with two back seat riders at the age of 15 and 17, the molle panels on the back of my rear seats are worthless given the decrease in the leg room.
