And, is the FWP the same as "invoice price" ?

This is an example from the now 2 month old guide - and supposedly Jeep has lowered "MSRP" by 1700 on the Gladiator since then, and none of these prices match anything the dealers actually show or even the often-wrong online build and price site..

So - more recent docs since Jeep announced MSRP changes, and what is FWP - is that "invoice" ???????

FWP is invoice price. I think it’s factory wholesale price if I remember correctly.

typical jeep on prices. Remember before they even released prices Jeep said they were increasing the prices. Then after the prices were released they said they were decreasing them.

clear as mud.

Yeah, FWP is Factory Wholesale Price.

That's sort of what I thought as I had some info back when we bought our 2021 Grand Cherokee and the numbers seemed to match with that wholesale number - at least sort of closely as Jeep keeps "adjusting" things.
And that's why I wondered if there was something more recent out because that document came out in the first half of January and since then, things have jumped around, and then Jeep says they were dropping Gladiator by $1700 - but that may mean only the stripped entry level and nothing above the very basic Sport.
None of the MSRP numbers in that 1/10/24 document line up with any window stickers or the build and price site so things have been fluctuating a bit since that one was released.

Yeah. Keep seeing "X amount off of MSRP/invoice". Ok... and which MSRP would that be? The one the website practically makes up on the fly? The months old order guide I got from the internet? The price reductions your CEO just announced and apparently indicated were imminent??

Just waiting for a clever dealer to offer a special $1,700 "discount" like they're doing us a personal favor ?

At any rate, you know how those press events are. There's always information loss. So, I'm hoping , beyond any sense of reason, that the reports focused on base model price changes ($1,700 average). But if Jeep really wants to move the needle, maybe they'll also tweak add-on/package pricing. Which was indeed sort of communicated as "content changes" and "more options". Which could grow savings beyond what was reported.

But we won't know until we know!!

We bought a 2021 Grand Cherokee at "1% under invoice" and I was trying to figure - what exactly does that mean?
And I asked the local dealer - who are normally MSRP or go somewhere else" types and the guy I usually work with said they could do the affiliate thing, which is something like "1% under invoice" for things like Tread Lightly membership.
With the jungle of numbers out there, I was trying to figure out what the heck that meant anyway?
So I dug into the dark far reaches of my memory (hard hat required, keep a fire extinguisher handy) and recalled how things worked out back then with the WK2 (Grand Cherokee of that 2021 era)
OK, we got a really good deal AND they offered me middle-of-the-road trade on our 2018, with PROOF of what the same used WK2s were selling for in that area, so they offered proof of their trade offer, not just BS numbers.

Anyway, I digress - if that FWP is indeed invoice, then it's pretty easy to get a close idea of what sort of discounts are actually being offered out there.

The price of the Convenience Group went up $100 on my 24 JTR from the online price, but the rest of the options were the same as online, at least in my experience.

My 2024 JTR was reduced $2500.00 from the online price and the dealer gave me a deal on the installation of the dealer installed options, mostly the Mopar lift. That was less than the $6000+ on my 2022 JTR. Same salesman, different dealer.

Not sure how it's possible unless it's to get you there and point you in another direction.
Bet there are some gotcha add-ons on a 24.
The Rubicon similar to the one I just bought is $9000 less! Edit: Actually I was looking at a 2023. A 24 JTR is a similar price to the one I got from a dealership in Arizona, perhaps 1000 cheaper.

That's my gut feeling. I'd always be weary and expect dealers to fudge some "discount" numbers. But maybe we squabble over a grand? Even if you cut that deal in half, first off that's a dif. of $6k and would piss anyone off, but that'd still leave you 6k under.

That's a helluva switch if completely fake.

Their X models are only -$935. Very sus. Gotta be a typo or mischief. Too busy to call tho and don't want to open the floodgates of sales propaganda until I absolutely have to.

You're probably right. They'll just leave the listing up and answer every call with "Sorry that one just sold! But we'd love to talk about..."
