i should wait for the G8 tops version but i am already cutting and hacking away.
enjoying the new to me JK, had to do repairs of course before i can start any upgrades. a good friend came over and told me to one ton this now while i still have the room lol something to think about... also other friend has a super duty for sale for $1200... temptations. i still want to do a very stock looking version but my direction changes with the wind. cutting on the rear panel - fitting is getting much closer now.
plus i chopped up the other 202X body into useable pieces and scrap.

Placed frame on an old trailer that was given to me, the plan is to roll into shop to work on and still be able to move it around. I do not want to block up the shop while I do this plus I enjoy working outside at times . Today was 91 and humid … I am going to install the body mount bolts for the cab . This also allows me to set the bed and decide how much to extend the front panel. I was reading the other day that the J6 concept does not allow the seats to go all the way back so now I am thinking to add 3-5 “ I. The cab . It’s easy now, I am only 6 ft but I like a little room so stay tuned .

any extended bed solutions yet to match? or is it custom flatbed only? Ya'll have a ball park on weight savings as well? I imagine this trims the glady up quite a bit.

I don't have weight nets yet. Once we get it back from paint, and bolted on, I'll do a run to the scales and see what it is and repost.

This particular customer is doing a utility type work bed that they will take to another fabricator for. IMO opinion, these are really going to be more targeted towards that type of build as opposed to trying to lengthen a stock JT bed. IMO a lengthened JT bed at the front is going to look no so attractive like these pictures that are floating around of the white one. I think this is going to be well suited for a flatbed, camper box, and/or utility use even tour vehicles with bench seats in the back. etc.

In regards to the comment about not making the top of the hardtop come off just like a gladiator. We thought long about this, and we may still go back and make it possible for removing the upper part of the top, but for the first implementation we decided to leave the cab back full length. If the upper part of the top is removable, you get into the same issues as any Jeep hardtop, attempting to have it seal up reliably after putting it on and off.

loss of it being a convertible would suck. I don't see how it would be possible but i'd love a 2 door soft top.

This will utilize the factory freedom panels over the front which will still be removable and/or also you could use this cab back with a Bestop Sunrider, and/or a 1 piece Clearlidz.

This red one was perfect candidate, 2019 sport, 2.0 turbo, was hit very light in the rear passenger, no frame damage.

love this! i have been watching the local CoPart 10k for a heavy hit Jeep Wrangler, kinda makes the BDMT (big dumb mud truck) avenue seem easier. F350 donor, slam a small block in it and fab the interior. i want to make it stock, as i am planning it to be my retirement jeep lol so i am watching for a hard hit rear end. then low ball lol
