For those who got the 8.4in touchscreen and Alpine infotainment system but did not get the bluetooth speaker, can some confirm if there is/isnt a spot behind the seat to add the bluetooth speaker later?

If you do not order the speaker from the factory the cradle that holds and charges the speaker is not installed.

You'd be better off with a different speaker. The one provided by Jeep sounds decent but is finnicky at best. If I know I'm going to use a BT speaker I just grab my JBL speaker on the way out and toss in the truck since I can count on it pairing without fumbling through a factory reset every other time.

Is it not set-it and forget-it like every other BT speaker?

It is, just not reliably. I've had to factory reset it more than once because it'll not pair automatically and holding the bluetooth button to get it into pairing mode doesn't work without a factory reset. I've seen several other reports of them being unreliable here. I figure I'll try to warranty a new one in a year or so after they've hopefully made a revision to it.

I did not order the bluetooth speaker as there are many other higher quality options available for less than half the cost, you also lose storage space which is a premium.

I have to agree. I love my Jeep Gladiator but the bluetooth portable speaker, although a cool and convenient idea, just does not have the sound quality that I could get elsewhere. I also am only getting about 3 hours of music play from its battery. I am watching the threads here about finding a cord that can charge the speaker when not docked.

I’m weird so I mounted a cheap computer monitor on the inside of my Mopar trifold bed cover with a soundbar below it
