I called four different dealerships. They all have the same policy.

I asked if they could just call me when they’re ready for the car, and I bring it up 3-5 days later. They said no, it has to sit on their lot in a queue for those 3-5 days.

So, I brought the car in last Friday and they again told me 3-5 days before they could look at the Jeep. When I explained the problem (and jumped up and down on the back bumper to demonstrate the noise), the tech said, “That seems pretty straightforward. I’ll make sure someone takes a quick look today.”

He contacted me that afternoon, said the shock was bad, the part was ordered, and the repair is covered under warranty. I picked up the Jeep today and the issue is resolved.

I’m actually quite pleased.

Eli at Larry H Miller on 104th is a good guy and turned a problem into a solution.
