What brand of gears did you go with? Did you just need the Ring and Pinion for front and back or other parts? I'm seriously considering 37s and regearing to 4.88s so I appreciate any details you can provide! After watching the video from Brad at Trail Recon, I'm leaning more this way.
Why are you considering 37s? Are you not happy with 35s for some particular reason? i know that you wheeled with your 35s so would like to have some first hand information...

Dropped the Super-Duper Gladiator off at the Doc's office for the 4.88s.
Figured it was best for all involved (Doc, patient, and me) to just leave town. (Actually went to go surprise Mom for her birthday, then off to Nashville to drink this weekend).
Hopefully pick it up on Monday.

How did you decide that 4.88 is the best option for you and not 5.13?

Also, I am gonna be in Nashville the weekend of 24th :P

I have K02s in the 315 size. I like the K02s and the K02 37s are slightly lighter than the 315s and would give me a little over an inch more height. Some of it is purely for the taller looks but I think I need to regear anyway to get more use of 8th on the highway and if I'm going to do that, I might as well go to the bigger tires if feasible. Of course, I would also be considering new wheels to go with it so all in with Wheels, Tires, TPMS, re-gear, I'm looking at another very large expendature, so..........

I figured the 5.13s would be too tall and run the RPMs up too far FOR ME.
@Oscar Indy did his vid describing EXACTLY what I was dealing with and what I wanted.

I was actually chewing between 4.56 and 4.88.
OEM 33 on the 4.10s would equal around 4.65ish on 37s.

I think the extra weight and wind resistance would need just a bit more bite than that but I don't need to climb a vertical wall, so went with 4.88.

Wow, you have a nice set of wheels. I am surprised you are changing them LOL.

I am still so torn between 35s and 37s, #sigh.

I still like the ION 171 wheels. I did beat up four of them wheeling in Colorado last August but I'll probably put the 37s on those instead of shelling out a bunch of cash for the AEV wheels I want with beadlock rings!! Then I'll decide if I want to put the 315s on the stock LE wheels and sell the Faulkens that came with them or try to peddle the 315s..... Still exciting owning a JT!!

Who do you think - I mean which brand is the beefiest/strongest/most reputable for this stuff? Yukon?

I keep hearing Yukon.

My Doc is a HUGE Yukon fan as they're apparently USA steel. But then again, he followed that by saying 'But any of the name brands are fine now-a-days'.
He wanted me to get Yukon, but when I found this deal on the Nitro's and showed him, he looked at it and said "YUP, buy them" His biggest issue was to make sure I got new bearings as he would not repress bearings.

I actually think they're all made at the same 2-3 places and name stamped.

Yeah, I believe it. Like the Harbor Freight Daytona floor jack and the Snap-On one both being made at the same factory I am sure or using very similar processes but one cost 5X.

Idk man, I feel like maybe I should go to 37s and then I would have to re-gear. I might as well just take the plunge I guess. The thing is that I don't want to go to 35s and then feel like man I wish I had gone with 37s LOL.

I've got 35's on my Rubi and am going with Yukon 4.56 gears. They were recommended as the best option for the Gladiator by the shop I've had allot of work done with previously on my 2014 JKUR. On that rig I had 37's and 5.13 gears (G2). I used the gear ratio calculator on http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html and that 's how I came up with 4.56, which gets the engine rpm's very close (slightly higher) to the stock numbers with 33's and 4.10's.

Totally agree with the RPMs part, I just think it needed a little more than OEM to push the added weight and resistance I have.I agree, for 35s I’d prefer 4.56.
But this is my build thread and I have 37s, so 4.88s FTW.
