Anybody successfully figured out how to program a key fob using JSCAN ?

The process fails midway with a security error. I've tried the with the bluetooth adapter connected directly to a bypass cable and using the ODBII connector while a Tazer is connected as the bypass.

I'm doing this on a base Sport retrofitted with power locks so there is a non-zero chance this simple won't work.

Figured it out ... the PIN that is retrieved by AlphaODB and shown in JSCAN isn't correct. Finally broke down and had a locksmith come out. He was able to retrieve the actual PIN... that worked with AlphaODB just fine.

Not sure where that leaves both apps but looks like there is still some work to do with the 2019+ JLs and 2020+ JTs.

It's, "AlphaOBD."
As in On Board Diagnostics.

Its actually ALFAOBD .... so I had both parts of the name wrong
Oh, and I'm really very sure you are not only the first, but the only person, to have ever gotten either part wrong. Yup, only you. Uhuh. LOL
We gotta laugh at ourselves now and then.

I bought my father's 2004 WJ from his estate after he was killed. Unfortunately, the only FOB he had for it was in his pocket when he died - and the incident that killed him was rather, well, my brother retrieved Dad's personal effects from the coroner's office and told me he did his best to remove "fluids" from the fob and clean it up and get it working again. It sort of worked, I did more work on it and was able to use the FOB for a couple of weeks then it died.
I bought a cheap replacement online, and in the meantime, found a fob we had from a 2003 WJ we had owned years ago, and one for another WJ we had that I totaled. So I had 3 fobs - new cheap replacement and 2 originals from 2002 and 2003 WJs.
I took the 04 WJ to a Jeep dealership (Granger Motors) and talked to the guy in the shop asking if they'd please configure the Jeep to work with those FOBS.
Nope, he said that Jeeps come from the factory hard-coded to work only with the FOBS sent with the vehicle. I insisted that could not be true, and he insisted back they have never successfully ever programmed other FOBS to any Jeep.
Rather than argue and get my blood pressure up - I took the fobs and drove to a lock and safe company in Des Moines. I told the guy I had an 04 WJ, and a brand new fob, and 2 OEM FOBs from other WJs I had owned. His only question was "do you have 5 minutes to stick around"? Uh, yeah.
Less than 5 minutes later, he had all THREE fobs programmed to work with that Jeep. The new one and the old originals from other WJs.
So a Jeep dealership shop said no, it can't be done, and a safe and lock company did it in under 5 minutes, for ALL THREE fobs.

But things have changed with the PIN and all - it's not like yesteryear.
AlfaOBD (named for On Board Diagnostics, yes, but also Alfa, the cars.......... as in the Italian company. They specialize in these vehicles and the depth of what they can do is amazing.
JSCAN is working hard to keep up and if you find something that doesn't work or it can't do - contact 'em. JSCAN interface is a bit more intuitive IMO, but AlfaOBD has crazy power once you get through their lack of documentation and having to figure out what the heck those cryptic icons mean. IMO, the AlfaOBD icons just don't make a lot of sense, and having some sort of "this icon does that" would take them 5 minutes and only a few words.

I knew that if ANYONE here could match that, it would be YOU. No doubt, none at all.

So, does anyone know where to go from this? I'd like to purchase an additional key (I still have both originals) and program it myself. Mine's also a 2022 (not sure if that means anything, I know currently it can't be tuned because of it).

Is there not a sequence for programming these? I know in my previous vehicles, as long as I had the two original keys I could do some longwinded procedure to program an additional key. It was something very specific, like - start vehicle, turn off vehicle, open driver door, flip turn signal, close door, key to acc, press button on new key, etc.
