Anybody else wanting to leave their key fob locked in/around their jeep without having it unlock because of the RFID signal from the FOB? (my fob will be modded so the hard key can come with me - this is mainly for water activities so the fob doesn't get ruined)

I've been looking into options for this, and found lockable trailer hitches, RFID blocking bags, etc.

Anybody have experience with a good quality option for this?

Here's the best one I found I think...

Did you try the front passenger foot well? I've found in my truck that my wife can leave her purse with her fob there and the truck doesn't pick it up. Not sure if the JT is the same, though.

hmm. I would guess something about the purse is blocking the signal.

But I can't check because, you guessed it, granite LE still stuck in C status lol

I mentioned something similar in this post:

So yea, you leave your key fob in a faraday pouch, but you have a hard key to unlock and lock the doors.
Note the glove box and center console both lock with that key. You can also get a center console “safe”
If you have the hard key you can also store the fob behind the back seats and lock them from going down. The only issue is that you’d have to open the back doors, and lower the seats to get at the key.

If it’s infrequent. Like when you go to the beach or hiking or something like that, it might not be a huge deal.
