There's a lot to explore in Lake County and Mendocino National Forest. I am going to start a thread documenting this trip and future ones. We took a trip out to High Valley Trail with beautiful view over looking Clear Lake. A lot of interesting terrain changes and unfortunately more deadfall like a few of my Cow Mountain vids. Not a particularly challenging trail, but there are some interesting obstacles & spurs that are more technical. I recommend giving it a try and definitely take a detour to Pinnacle Rock the site of an old Fire Lookout. Here are the pics and vid from the trail.
The start of the trail and some of us aired down:
Getting lost exploring, but finding great campsites for the future
Got have a pic of my Gladiator... with all the mods this rig just makes me smile every time I see it!
Got to have some pics on the dog! He was all about this trip and didn't want us to stop!!
Great views of Clear Lake... which was looking particularly clear
Got to have the rigs lined up!
Again the view from Pinnacle Rock was awesome too!
