Hello to all,
My in-law needed a spacer lift/leveling kit installed and I figured I would snap a couple photos and do a mini write up.

tools needed (minimum)
1 jack stand high enough to reach frame
1 floor jack
15mm socket/wrench
18mm socket AND wrench
-lug key/tire iron for tire removal

Jack the Jeep up by the frame enough to lift the tire off the ground. - this is important because performing this in the driveway you will need to droop the axle to remove the spring, do not jack the Jeep by the axle at this time. So, once the jeep is high enough to remove the tire- secure with a jack stand.

Remove the tire (one tire…)

Place jack under the axle on the removed tire side. Jack the axle up- a couple pumps, looking to remove tension on the shock and sway bar.

Remove sway bar end link bolt from axle bracket using an 18mm socket and wrench. Pivot sway bar end link away from axle.

remove 15mm brake line bracket from control arm, and remove bracket (allow to sit freely above control arm and disconnected from welded bolt)

Remove 18mm lower shock bolt using a wrench and socket. Once removed pull shock from mount and allow to sit freely.

Lower jack supporting the axle slowly - ensure careful attention is made to brake line, differential breather hose, and fad/locker wires.

lower until spring can be worked free.

remove bottom of two rubber upper spring donuts.

install new leveling block. Ensure the nipple on the upper spring pillow is aligned with spring bucket hole…. Then ensure bottom of spring is aligned with spring bucket relief.

Paying attention to all wires hoses, brake lines, and shock- jack the axle back up into place. Reassemble in reverse order.

Front leveling kit took about an hour-hour and a half to install. This was working at a relaxed pace, by myself.

I didn’t see any sort of write up posted yet. I realized once my in-law asked if I would do this that a lot of folks probably don’t realize how simple this is to do in their driveway, and if they have a quoted price like my in-law did are probably paying Way too much for something simple.

everyone’s on their own for torque specs…. Tight, with lock tight and a paint pen marking any potential movement has worked for me.
If your leveling kit came with instructions ?? His came with two pucks in a box.

'21 Gladiator Willys Sport 6-MT, '05 TJ Rubicon
Any advantage or disadvantage to doing one side at a time on the Jeeps? Last one I installed was on a 4Runner with IFS before installing a kit on my sister's Rubicon a couple weeks ago. Instructions said drop front axle with front wheels off, unhook front driveshaft etc.... seemed excessive.

I see most instructions mention dropping entire front axle is why I ask. This seems much easier.

Getting the axle back in place left/right sucked too when putting it all back together.

About to install a 2.5" kit on mine, so was just curious on thoughts. I like this guide much better with just the one wheel at a time.
